NXT Superstars And Coaches Not Paid For Appearing As Crowd During 10-Hour Taping Days

It was previously reported that WWE has been undergoing a lot of cost cutting measures in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Without fans being able to purchase tickets to WWE live events, a large portion of the company’s revenue has been missing. Also missing has been fans from WWE events, well that somewhat changed over the last month.

WWE recently started using NXT Superstars and Coaches as crowd members during WWE TV tapings. These NXT Superstars and Coaches were subjected to long 10-hour plus days of tapings, and apparently weren’t compensated for their time.

According to a report from Fightful, the NXT Superstars and Coaches that WWE used for the live crowd during the recently TV Tapings were not paid extra for the long 10 hour days of filming.

“For those asking, there’s no additional pay for these appearances for talent. Classes have continued for recruits, but usually digital tape study with coaches.”

It was said that there was some frustration from the NXT Superstars used in the crowd for the Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream match that was taped for this Sunday’s NXT TakeOver: In Your House. Due to unfavorable weather conditions, everyone was forced to wait around for a long time until conditions allowed for the crew to film outside.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about NXT Superstars and their issues and frustrations with being used as crowd for live events during tapings.
