AEW held their third event as a company on Saturday. It was a charity show for victims of gun violence in Jacksonville, Florida. Most of the card was multi man matches because the roster is still new to many fans. Being a free event to watch at home, most of the talent on the roster was featured in one way or another.
There was a six man tag team match featuring Joey Janela, Darby Allin and Jimmy Havoc facing off against Shawn Spears, MJF and Sammy Guevara.
MJF’s team picked up the win when Shawn Spears pinned Darby Allin, but the celebration was short lived for Maxwells Jacob Friedman because he sustained an injury in the match.
The severity of the injury is not yet known. Hopefully MJF will be healthy by October, when AEW starts their weekly show on TNT.
