New WWE Pay-Per-View Announced & Will Be Replacing Backlash Event

Earlier this month it was reported that WWE Backlash would be canceled because of the company’s commitment to their Saudi Arabia shows.

Turns out that not only is Backlash not taking place, it has been removed and replaces by a new WWE PPV called Stomping Grounds.

The Tacoma Dome arena’s Facebook posted this add for the new show this morning.

The show will be Sunday, June 23rd and it appears a match is already advertised. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns. Meaning Roman will be wrapping his program with Elias up by the end of May.
