ROH G1 Supercard Media Call

Bodyslam.net and High Spot Podcast were invited to take part in the G1 Supercard of Honor Media Call. Below are some of the highlights of interviews with Bully Ray and PCO.

Jeff Martin: In the back of your mind is there someone else you would’ve wished accepted you open challenge

Bully Ray: Juice took the bulls by the horns, he stepped up, he’s going to get an ass kicking You know that on shows like these its in New York its in Madison Square Garden and no matter what I’m going make an impression and I’m probably going to make an impression on his chest and on his face, he’s going to get his ass handed to him, but hey man kudos to him for having the balls to step up. I will leave you with this and this is really open ended, just because Juice answered the Open Challenge doesn’t mean that other guys couldn’t answer the Open Challenge, who knows? I didn’t say this was an open challenge, singles match, who the hell knows if anybody tells the music guy to hit their music. I can tell you this, it’s going to be different, it’s going to be interesting, it’s going to be hard-hitting and it’s going to be fun.”

Jeff Martin: How important was it to reinvent yourself and what advice would you give the younger talent seeking help on how to better relate with the audience?

PCO: “This is something where you have to keep believing in yourself, you really don’t know when it’s going to hit with the fans. I am reminded of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Ring Master gimmick. You have to keep your vision about yourself and knowing what you want and keep focus on the goal and no matter what happens, no matter how many times you might fail and the fans might reject it, it might not work, if you stay focused and if you really believe in yourself and you really keep your eye on that vision eventually the right thing is going to pop up for you. It’s all about faith, faith is persistence, faith is perseverance. Its going through like a bunch of failures ,a bunch of tough times and knowing that it’s going to payoff and that’s the best advice I can give to any wrestlers. If it’s really your passion, if you’re really passionate about this, and you really love what you do then it doesn’t matter how many times you fail eventually you’re going to know what works for you.”
