REVEALED: When Shawn Michaels Decided To Retire

Shawn Michaels made his comeback at WWE Crown Jewel, where he and Triple H took on The Brothers of Destruction. They were victorious in the match, but he was left alone as Triple H tore his pec early in the match.

His career ended at Wrestlemania 26 at the hands of The Undertaker. However, he revealed to Sport Illustrated, that the match wasn’t going to happen until he felt he was fine with his career ending.

“I don’t know that I ever completely decided that it was going to be it [for my career] until after that match was over. We had always sort of discussed sort of an ‘out clause,’ so to speak, if I had the desire to do it again.

But I can remember myself, and ‘Taker, and Michael Hayes just sitting there after the match, like we had done the year before, just the three of us, sort of sitting there, alone, taking it in, and I said, ‘You know something, guys? I feel good with that.’”

Maybe we’ll see HBK wrestle one more time in the future, since anything is possible in professional wrestling.
