Communication Issue With Vince McMahon Kept Triple H In The Dark On Recent NXT Call-Ups

As we saw on this week’s episodes of WWE’s RAW and SmackDown LIVE, Triple H announced four main roster debuts for some of NXT’s top Superstars.

It had previously been reported that Vince McMahon had other plans in mind for this week’s main roster debuts, but Triple H was able to convince him of some changes. However, when it is all said and done everything comes down to Vince and he will often times do what he was regardless.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed this week’s surprise NXT main roster debuts and revealed that a lot of it had to do with Vince reacting to AEW and some other factors coming into play as well. Also, that there was apparently a major “communication issue” this week between himself and Triple H over the whole debut process.

Regarding this week’s NXT main roster debuts, Meltzer said:

“Vince is reacting to the ratings, I think there’s a reaction to AEW and basically he wanted to get wrestlers on RAW now and so you know he’s not that up on NXT, but it was essentially, ‘Who are the four best guys?’ These are the four best guys, I guess.”

“Triple H didn’t know. There was a communication thing there. So he just wanted those four guys. I’m not sure whether he picked them or whether he was told that these are the guys.”

There had previously been talk that Aleister Black was being discussed for a main roster call-up in the past, however the other three talents who made their debuts were somewhat of a shock. It is being said that the decision was made late last week to have the debuts happen.
