Potential Reason Why WWE Cancelled Intergender Match Between Dean Ambrose & Nia Jax

WWE had originally been advertising an intergender match between Dean Ambrose and Nia Jax for an upcoming WWE Live event on February 22nd.

However, earlier today WWE stated that the promotional material for that event was outdated, and that the match between Nia Jax and Dean Ambrose was not taking place despite all the promotion that has been running for the match locally.

According to a report from our friends at Ringside News, there is reportedly a rumor going around within WWE saying that the decision was made by company officials to cancel the Ambrose vs. Jax intergender match because WWE received a phone call from one of their sponsors, stating that they did not want to do business with a company which supports intergender wrestling.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about WWE cancelling the Dean Ambrose vs. Nia Jax intergender match.
