”Mean” Gene Okerlund Passes Away

WWE Hall of Famer ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund has passed away at the age of 76 today. ‘Mean’ Gene started his career by interviewing the greatest stars of the AWA, including Ventura, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and Hulk Hogan.

He joined WWE in 1984, where he continued to interview the most popular and high-profile superstars in the company including
Hogan, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior and many more.

He also worked with WCW as lead interviewer from 1993, interviewing the likes of Diamond Dallas Page, Sting, Goldberg and more.
