Becky retained her Smackdown Live Women’s title against Charlotte Flair at WWE Evolution. Throughout the feud, she has been the heel. But she is always cheered by the fans, and in turn, Charlotte gets booed.
On the latest audio update of PWInsider Elite, Mike Johnson was asked about this predicament and if any double turn was in sight. He answered saying there are no plans for that and in this day and age, it didn’t matter who was heel or face as fans would cheer for whomever he liked. This is what he said:
“No I haven’t heard of a double heel turn and I don’t believe they need to do it because the audience is going to pick and choose who they are going to boo anyway. I think worrying about who’s the babyface and who’s a heel is an antiquated thing and you have to just leave the audience make the decision about who and what they want to cheer.”
While it doesn’t seem to be the case right now, you never know what can happen in the WWE.
