How Has The Injury To Dean Ambrose Changed Plans For WWE Storylines?

As has been previously reported, WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose is expected to be out of action for up to nine months after having surgery to repair his right tricep tendon.

Since Ambrose has been out of action there have been significant changes made to WWE storylines, and it appears as though plans for some may not be delayed but just dropped completely.

WWE had already delayed plans once already for a Shield Reunion Tour at WWE Live Events, after Roman Reigns was diagnosed with a case of the mumps a couple months back. With Ambrose being out of action for the better part of the next year, WWE may drop plans for the tour altogether instead of pushing it back yet again.

Plans for The Shield’s reunion were to be a way for WWE to finally get Roman Reigns over with the WWE Universe before they before deciding to put the Universal Title on him. The belief now is that by the time Ambrose returns from injury that Reigns will already be Universal Champion, which would make the reunion tour pointless.
