The Bella Twins brother JJ Garcia recently spoke to Afterbuzz TV. The interviewer asked him if the break-up was staged for publicity, and JJ Garcia left crystal clear response to the world.

The world learned that John Cena and Nikki Bella broke up a few months back, and called off their marriage, which was controversial because John Cena proposed her after the match at Wrestlemania 33.

In the episode of Total Divas, we can clearly see that they got separated before Royal Rumble 2018, and the whole crew decided to keep this a secret until the show was released in the public.

JJ Garcia response to staged breakup,

Honestly, my sister asked us not to say anything. Even though we do put our lives out there in the public, my sister is a very private person.

And she loves John and what they are going through they want it between them. Even with how public John is, John is super private.

The one thing I can tell you for a fact is that it wasn’t for the ratings or for the show at all. It actually threw the show for a loop.

Author’s Take

The Bella family took training to handle media, and JJ Garcia might not even know that break up was part of the show because Nikki and Brie’s are the main stars of the show.

I would like to add that I think, Nikki Bella and John Cena break up were staged to gain publicity. The network E! used the breakup the storyline to promote Total Divas season 3, and it started to show results after the third episode.

In the last episode, John Cena met Nikki Bella backstage, and he told the cameraman “This is where the camera has to leave,” and he should have said that when he was breaking up with her on national television.
