Tony Khan Names 4 New Pillars For AEW

The four pillars of All Elite Wrestling have been a very talked about topic in world of professional wrestling since AEW started in 2019. In the companies inception, the four pillars were MJF, Jack Perry, Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara. But in a new interview, AEW Owner Tony Khan has said there are 4 new pillars of the company.

Speaking with Joshua Godwin of Q93, Khan was asked who he sees as the new pillars of AEW and Khan said they are Thekla, Mercedes Moné, Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher.

This certainly is an interesting answer because the reasoning for the original four pillars of AEW was because they were young, homegrown talent who were not well known to wrestling fans until they were members of AEW. Of course they were also seen as four major key players in the companies future.

MJF and Darby Allin have both been World Champion and have main evented pay per views for the company. Perry and Guevara have also had nice careers in AEW but Guevara’s best years in AEW were in the first few years of its inception while Perry’s have been over the last two to three years.

This is definitely a unique four pillars as two are women and all four of them had established themselves on some level before coming over to AEW. Obviously, Moné was a major star in WWE for 10 years but she has become the most important or at least the second most important womans wrestler in AEW besides Toni Storm. Thekla has took AEW by storm after many doubted her signing after her run in Stardom. Thekla is now Woman’s World Champion and is viewed as a top star in pro wrestling.

Knight signed a one year contract in March of 2025 and became such a valuable wrestler for Khan that he resigned him to a new multiyear deal earlier this year. Knight is the current TNT champion and was the big closing angle to the second biggest U.S. show  in the companies history at this year’s Double or Nothing. Fletcher since joining AEW went from being a tag team wrestler to a guy many people believe will be one of the biggest stars in wrestling over the next 10-15 years. Fletcher has won multiples championship and like Knight, has also fought for the World Title in the last year.

Time will ultimately tell if these four remain the pillars but these stars certainly fit the mold on what AEW is and wants to be in the future.
