AEW Collision: The Dogs Become Trios Champions

The Dogs have captured their first bit of gold on tonight’s edition of AEW Collision. The episode kicked off live on TNT with an AEW Trios Championship match which saw Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight & Mistico put their gold on the line against The Dogs (Clark Connors, Gabe Kidd &  David Finlay).

In recent weeks, The Dogs have been a thorn and everyone’s side, including Darby Allin, The Conglomeration and of course, the current Trios Champions. But tonight, The Dogs got their first opportunity at the Trios Titles and they did not squander it. After a hard-fought battle which saw both teams get in some great offense, equipped with a few near falls, it was The Dogs who picked up the win and are now the new AEW Trios Champions.

Following the match, The Conglomeration’s Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy showed up on screen. Orange was on the phone while Roderick revealed that they’re coming for The Dogs newly won championships and they’re coming this Sunday at AEW Dynasty. Orange Cassidy hung up the phone without asking whoever was on the line if they’ll be their partner, but Roderick was sure he would. We didn’t get a partner reveal, so, it seems it’ll be a surprise tomorrow night.

The Dogs seemed willing to immediately defend their gold, so, it looks like another match has been added to tomorrow’s Pay-Per-View event. The Dogs will defend their AEW Trios Championships against Roderick Strong, Orange Cassidy & a to be determined partner.

Stay tuned for more AEW Collision news.

  • New Main Event Announced For WrestleCon Supershow

New Main Event Announced For WrestleCon Supershow

Wrestlecon’s Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow was forced into having to create a new main event. Originally, AEW’s Ricochet was set to take on TNA’s Leon Slater in a high-flyers delight that many fans were looking forward to at WrestleCon. Then, late last week, TNA had pulled any talent from independent shows where they would be facing AEW talent. This happened to Nic Nemeth, too, who was scheduled to face MJF at a Create-A-Pro event.

With TNA’s new policy that their talent cannot wrestle AEW talent on independent shows, this forced WrestleCon to scramble for a new main event less than one week out from the Supershow on April 16. Today, they’ve announced a replacement. The match will be The Demand (Ricochet, Toa Liona & Kaun) vs. JetSpeed (Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) and Michael Oku.

WrestleCon’s tweet announcing the match also acknowledged AEW president Tony Khan for his help with the situation, saying; “It took some exceptions to make this match happen on our little independent show to honor our friend, and we want to personally thank Tony Khan and AEW for allowing this to happen. When we lost our main event, we had several wrestlers, management, and agents reach out and offer their help. Thanks to everybody that had a part in putting this one together.”

    https://x.com/wrestlecon/status/2043092647049338974?s=46

Leon Slater, who was originally scheduled, has not been re-scheduled yet. It’s unclear if he will still have a match on the event, or if he’s been pulled from the show altogether. TNA has made it clear that their talent can be on shows with AEW talent, just not against them. We’ll keep you updated on the situation and if TNA’s X-Division Champion, Leon Slater, gets a different match for WrestleCon that isn’t with Ricochet or any AEW talent.

You can watch the WrestleCon Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow live on Triller TV at 3PM PT, 6PM ET on April 16.

Mickie James: They Got Petty, Now We’re Going To Get Country”

Mickie James is set to team with ODB & Taryn Terrell to take on The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance) tonight live at TNA Rebellion. The match will be contested under “Hardcore Country” rules, as things have heated up in this rivalry.

Mickie James, ODB & Taryn Terrell Versus The Elegance Brand

Mickie James originally returned to TNA to speak to her former friend Ash, but, Ash’s new attitude caused a rift in the relationship, which ended with Mickie getting beat down and having her own son threatened! Recently, Mickie James spoke with our very own Kyle Collision about tonight’s upcoming match and she is ready, noting that it’ll “The OG’s” versus “The Marks”.

When asked about coming back to TNA, Mickie noted; “I don’t know that it was like “oh, I want to come back to TNA”, I actually was coming back to have a conversation with my friend, Ash, who, you know, I feel like I really tried to help her when she left WWE and then was going to TNA, and talk to Tommy and all those things, but, just the way she’s been acting was not who she is or who she was and so, I genuinely was just coming to have a conversation with her. And she made it personal, The Elegance Brand made it personal when they came in my locker room and tried to threaten my son, you know? And beat me up and like, I was trying to have a legit conversation. A woman to woman conversation. They got petty, now, we’re going to get country.”

Ash By Elegance also got into a war of words on X with Taryn Terrell, which was an easy sign for Mickie James to gather her for her team. You can see the TNA Rebellion preview here. Check out the full interview below.

  • WWE Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Set For Next Week

WWE Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Set For Next Week

The WWE Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal is back and will once again return to the SmackDown go-home show for WrestleMania. For the past couple of years, this yearly Battle Royal was taken off of WrestleMania cards and moved to the last SmackDown before the big event starting back in 2021.

WrestleMania 35 was the last WrestleMania to have the Battle Royal on the actual event, with that tradition starting at WrestleMania 30. WrestleMania 36 did not have the match at all, due to the COVID pandemic. But, the match was officially moved to the special “WrestleMania Edition” of SmackDown ahead of WrestleMania 37, and has been that way every year since.

    WWE SmackDown 4/17

Now, again, WWE has announced that the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal will take place on next week’s edition of SmackDown and RAW superstars will be apart of the show. It’s not yet known who will participate in the match itself.

    https://x.com/bodyslamnet/status/2042791296880746861?s=46

In years past, the winners included WWE superstars Cesaro, who won the inaugural match, followed by Big Show, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman, Jey Uso, Madcap Moss, Bobby Lashley, Bronson Reed and most recently last year, Carmelo Hayes.

With names like Ilja Dragunov, Carmelo Hayes, Rey Fenix, Danhausen, The Miz, Kit Wilson & even the recent debutant Royce Keys not being on the WrestleMania card, we can probably expect a few, if not all of them to be in next weeks bout. The question is, who will take home the trophy as the 2026 WWE Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner? Let us know your predictions!

  • Danhausen Curses His Way To Victory In SmackDown Debut

Danhausen Curses His Way To Victory In SmackDown Debut

Danhausen has finally stepped into the ring and competed in an official WWE match. Danhausen has been on the WWE roster since his debut at Elimination Chamber back in February. Initially, his debut didn’t go over so well, and fans were very confused and actively booed him. Now, Danhausen has changed everyone’s minds and has become one of the most entertaining fixtures on WWE Television.

Yet, for about two months, he was just active in backstage segments and the occasional promo on the stage or in the ring for the live crowd to see. Things started to change last week on SmackDown, where Danhausen interfered in a tag team match which saw Damien Priest and R-Truth defeat Kit Wilson and The Miz after the referee was accidentally cursed.

This week on SmackDown, Kit and The Miz told general manager Nick Aldis that what happened last week was egregious and the referee should be reprimanded because of what happened and claimed “the curse isn’t real!” Nick Aldis responded by telling Kit Wilson that if the curse isn’t real, he’d have no problem going one on one with the man himself on the show. And so, it was made official. Danhausen would have his in-ring debut.

The contest was nothing more than a comedy match, but that’s not a bad thing. Both men got in a few offensive maneuvers, Danhausen had a funny bit with The Miz on the outside and in the end, Kit Wilson was cursed while standing on the top rope, which caused pyro to shoot off from the post, knocking him down and ultimately allowing Danhausen to pick up the win!

Danhausen has captured the hearts of WWE fans, and this match is the first of many for the very nice, but very evil man. Danhausen is officially undefeated as a WWE superstar.

  • Royce Keys Successfully Makes WWE Debut On SmackDown

Royce Keys Successfully Makes WWE Debut On SmackDown

Royce Keys made his WWE debut all the way back at the Royal Rumble when he was a surprise entrant after leaving AEW. Since then, Keys has been missing on WWE TV. Fans have been clamoring to see the big man again and while he has had dark matches for the live crowd before SmackDown events, we’ve yet to see Royce on weekly television, until now.

    Royce Keys SmackDown Debut

It was announced on Thursday that Royce Keys would be making his SmackDown debut, but an opponent was un-named at that time. But, when the match came around, it was Berto, one half of Los Garza, who stepped up. The man appropriately nicknamed “The Monstar” made his debut in successful faction. While Berto did get some offense in, and even landed a sweet missile drop kick, it was ultimately a devastating spine-buster that landed the win for Royce Keys.

Royce Keys was later interviewed backstage by Cathy Kelley, but was quickly interrupted by Solo Sikoa. Sikoa let Keys know that he “runs” SmackDown, and if Royce Keys ever needs anything, his door is always open. Royce left the conversation with a smile.

Royce Keys was formerly known as “Powerhouse Hobbs” in All Elite Wrestling, and was a former Trios and FTW Champion before leaving the company and joining WWE late last year. Keys is looking to make an impact in WWE.

Stay tuned for more SmackDown coverage.

  • UFC 327: Cub Swanson vs. Nate Landwehr Preview

UFC 327: Cub Swanson vs. Nate Landwehr Preview

UFC 327 is one day away and while we have a massive vacant Light-Heavyweight Championship bout between Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg at the top of the bill, it’s the main card opener that may mean the most for a lot of fans.

    Cub Swanson’s Swan Song

Cub Swanson is the last of a dying breed and the final WEC fighter currently on the UFC roster. WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting) was purchased by Zuffa in 2006 and merged with the UFC. This was a significant change that saw 135 pound, 145 pound, and 155 pound fighters make their way to UFC.

WEC was the home of many legends such as Urijah Faber, Jose Aldo and even Demetrious Johnson, who all eventually made their mark on the UFC. Now, Cub Swanson is the last WEC fighter standing and after Saturday night, it’ll be the end of an era. An emotional parting for fans who’ve watched the WEC fighters grow under the UFC banner.

    https://x.com/mmajunkie/status/2042591478770250101?s=46

UFC 327: Cub Swanson vs. Nate Landwehr

Though Cub Swanson has been relaxed and seems fairly calm coming into UFC 327, it will not be a cake-walk. Standing across from him is Nate ‘The Train’ Landwehr. Nate is a veteran in his own right at the ripe age of 37, just five years younger than Cub. Nate holds a record of 18-7, and though he’s on a two fight losing streak, he brings a war every time.

It’s not a Nate Landwehr fight if he isn’t bloody, and you could say the same about Cub Swanson. With 11 finishes under his belt, Nate is coming to spoil the party and not allow Cub to walk away with a satisfactory ending.

Cub Swanson will not back down, though. With 30 wins, Cub has 18 finishes and he loves to make it chaotic. If this is the last fight of a dying breed on Saturday night, you know they’re going to go out with a bang!

For fans looking to add a little more excitement to a fight like Cub Swanson vs Nate Landwehr, many also explore how can I bet on UFC fights before fight night.

UFC 327 is live on Paramount+ starting with the early prelims at 5:30 ET.
