At tonight’s NXT TakeOver: Phoenix the event opened with the NXT Tag Team Championship match between The War Raiders and The Undisputed Era. The War Raiders received an elaborate really cool looking entrance on their way out for their match, which should have been a little bit of foreshadowing for how the match would eventually turn out.
In what could end up being match of the night, The Undisputed Era and War Raiders put on a fast paced and hard hitting contest that had the crowd chanting “this is awesome” and “fight forever”. The matchup was a back and forth contest but eventually we saw the War Raiders gain the upper hand and put away Kyle O’Reilly with a vicious double-team move, and scored the pinfall to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions.
