An unusual incident at Mick Foley’s Birmingham stage show has reached a positive conclusion after two attendees made a donation to the Cauliflower Alley Club.
Foley conducts a “shirt off my back” charity auction during his one-man shows, with the proceeds benefiting wrestlers and former wrestlers experiencing financial hardship. At Thursday’s event at The Glee Club, two men submitted a winning bid of £900 for the T-shirt and outer shirt Foley was wearing. Foley said he posed for photographs with them, thanked them and autographed both items.
According to Foley, the men then left with the shirts without paying their pledged amount. Other attendees subsequently came forward with donations, allowing Foley to raise $600 for the Cauliflower Alley Club despite what had happened.
Foley addressed the two men through an Instagram video and gave them an opportunity to resolve the situation. He asked them to return the shirts or make a donation, even if they could not pay the full £900. He also said the incident had been captured on camera and warned that their identities could become public if they made no effort to correct the situation.
The appeal produced a response within hours.
In a follow-up message, Foley said the men had been intoxicated when they left the venue and had now shown him proof of what he described as a “very generous donation” to the Cauliflower Alley Club.
Foley did not publicly disclose the amount of that donation. Reports placing it at exactly $1,000 have not been substantiated by his statement.
“I believe in second chances,” Foley said, thanking the men for making amends and declaring the matter resolved.

Foley said his recurring shirt auctions have now generated more than $40,000 for the Cauliflower Alley Club. The organization provides financial assistance to members of the professional wrestling community facing medical problems or other hardships.
The Birmingham appearance was part of Foley’s ongoing “40 Years of Foley” tour in the United Kingdom. He is also in the country for AEW All In, where he is scheduled to contribute to Sunday’s broadcast from Wembley Stadium.
