IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Josh Alexander Hits Huge Milestone as Champion
Earlier today, IMPACT Wrestling took to their Facebook account and posted that Josh Alexander has now surpassed STING as the 4th longest reigning TNA/IMPACT Wrestling World Champion at 190 days. Sting previously held it for 189 days, and now falls to the #5 spot.
Josh Alexander won the title from Moose at Rebellion Pay Per View earlier this year, and has defeated many varying opponents since then, including W Morrissey, Matt Cardona, Tomohiro Ishii, and others.
Josh recently successfully defended the title against Eddie Edwards at Bound for Glory, and is slated to defend his title against AEW star Frankie Kazarian at Overdrive after Kazarian defeated Mike Bailey at Bound for Glory and then relinquished the title for the Option C opportunity, which gave him a World Title shot.
Matches announced for Overdrive so far:
IMPACT World Title
-Josh Alexander (c) vs AEW star Frankie Kazarian
IMPACT Tag Team Titles
-Heath & Rhyno (c) vs Major Players (Matt Cardona/Brian Myers)
