UFC Vegas 63 prelims kicks off with Anaconda Choke win for Christian Rodriguez vs. newcomer Joshua Weems

CeeRod has finally gotten his first UFC win in a huge first-round submission victory.

The winner of Dana White’s Contender Series, Christian Rodriguez came in with a chip on his shoulder.

A loss in his UFC debut, but a win tonight in the early first-round as CeeRod came out on top following a anaconda choke submission to end the night early for newcomer Joshua Weems.

Rodriguez earn his win and show money, he also picked up 30 percent of Weems’ purse after the latter missed weight by 3.5 pounds for the short notice opportunity.

Weems, who like Rodriguez once competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, had his two-fight winning streak come to an end.
