WWE Women’s Saudi Arabia Gear Parameters Remain in Place for Royal Rumble, Talent Responsible for Paying for Own Ring Gear
With WWE set to host the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, attire requirements for the women’s division will once again differ from standard WWE events.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, a talent involved in this weekend’s Women’s Royal Rumble confirmed that the same gear parameters used at previous Saudi Arabia events are still in place. The talent noted there was no coordinated effort to differentiate ring gear among competitors beyond those requirements.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful also spoke with a talent who stated that wrestlers are responsible for paying for and having their own gear made to meet those parameters, rather than WWE providing attire.
The 2026 Royal Rumble is scheduled for January 31, 2026, and will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from a custom-built stadium in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District. The event will stream in the United States on the ESPN app, with international distribution available on Netflix. The Royal Rumble pre-show is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. ET, followed by the main card at 2:00 p.m. ET.
