CM Punk has never been afraid to express his opinions on controversial matters. These days, it seems every day brings on something controversial, usually at the behest of the President of the United States.
Such was the case these past few months as ICE has descended upon a myriad of cities big and small, treating human beings like Pokemon because self-imposed quotas means they “gotta catch ’em all.”
Social Media reports show a slew of mask-wearing cowards, hiding behind a badge, snatching up men, women, and children because “God told them so,” even though the Bible clearly states that we should take in foreigners and treat them as our own.
Several pro wrestlers are speaking out about ICE, including ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, Brody King, and more.
CM Punk is another wrestler who is speaking out, simply by sharing a link to an article.
The article in question is entitled ‘A Top 10 List of Effed-Up Things ICE Has Done While in Chicago.’ Doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue but the title absolutely explains the body of the article.
Of course, Chicago is home to Punk and his wife, AJ Lee (a phenomenal superstar in her own right) and it’s a place for which he’s professed his love throughout his entire career. Which means, naturally, that when a bunch of bullies show up to the place that he loves, he’s gotta at least do something. That something was sharing the link to the article, which you can read here, courtesy of RayGunSite.
Some of those effed-up things ICE has done? According to the article, it includes tear-gassing Chicago police officers, zip-tying children, black-hawk helicopters, boats, and shooting reporters.
While the listicle may seem a little “Buzzfeed-y,” the content of the article is important…and scary. And that’s why it’s so important that Punk and other wrestlers continue to use their platforms to speak out against ICE and the out of shape, friendless, humorless, kindness-lacking, empathy-withholding douche bag incels who make it up.
