Ron “The Truth” Killings Discusses WWE Return and Embracing Both R-Truth and Ron Killings Personas
“If You Kick My Dog, I’ll Kick Your Cat.” What’s up?
Ron “The Truth” Killings recently sat down with Joey Karni on The Angle Podcast, where he opened up about his return to WWE following the expiration of his contract. The longtime veteran, who fans also know as R-Truth, spoke candidly about what it feels like to be back on the big stage and the decision to embrace both of his ring names moving forward.
When asked about his WWE return, Killings didn’t hold back in describing the emotions that came rushing back to him once he stepped through the curtain again:
“Invigorating. I heard that, saw it on a commercial. The lady said I feel invigorating! Man, it’s overwhelming, it’s overwhelming. There’s no way to express my gratitude for the hundreds of millions of people bro who have watched, invested, and loved me. It made me remember who I was, who I am. It put the ‘S’ back on my chest. I forgot yall. I am the suntan superman.”
Killings has long been known for his ability to connect with audiences through charisma, humor, and an undeniable authenticity. But this time around, he’s adding a new wrinkle to his identity by embracing both of his personas—R-Truth and Ron Killings.
On the duality of using both names, he explained:
“We’re both using. I’m just not the nice one. He’s too nice bruh, he’s been getting walked on. He believes in turning the other cheek. If you turn the other cheek on me I’ll hit you in it. You kick my dog I’ll kick your cat.”
The distinction paints a picture of Killings exploring two sides of himself: the comedic, fun-loving R-Truth that WWE audiences have cherished for years, and the grittier, more serious Ron Killings that many longtime fans remember from his earlier runs.
Whether fans embrace one or both of his personas, it’s clear that Killings feels rejuvenated and ready to make the most of this chapter in his career. If his words are any indication, “The Suntan Superman” is ready to remind the wrestling world exactly who he is.
