Hook Quietly Re-Signed with AEW in 2024 for New Multi-Year Deal

It looks like “The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil” isn’t going anywhere.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has reported via Fightful Select that Hook, despite being absent from AEW programming for an extended period, is still firmly part of the company’s long-term plans. According to the report, Hook actually re-signed with AEW earlier in 2024, securing himself to a new multi-year agreement.

The update comes after fans began to speculate about Hook’s status following his absence from the ring, which had stretched on for months until a teaser aired during the August 13th, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite. While details of the contract remain scarce, sources told Fightful that the deal locks Hook in for several more years with the company.

Interestingly, the re-signing took place before it was reported that Hook had enlisted the representation of Barry Bloom’s group. By that point, it was said that the deal was already done, and Hook was secured for the foreseeable future.

Hook, the son of ECW legend Taz, has quickly become a fan favorite since his in-ring debut in late 2021, earning praise for his unique charisma, crisp in-ring style, and cool, understated presence.

With this new contract in place, AEW fans can expect plenty more from the former three-time FTW Champion in the years to come.
