Veteran WWE referee Charles Robinson had an unexpected and frightening start to his day, as he revealed that he was rushed to the hospital this morning after being bitten by a bat.
Robinson, who has been a fixture in WWE for decades – and in WCW before that, shared the news with fans via his Instagram account, posting both pictures and videos documenting the incident and his trip to receive medical treatment. According to his posts, the bite occurred early this morning, prompting immediate concern due to the potential risk of rabies. Robinson detailed that he sought medical attention right away, undergoing a series of shots as part of the precautionary rabies treatment protocol.
In one Instagram video, Robinson showed the bite mark and explained the sequence of events that led to the bat encounter. Another post featured him at the hospital, visibly in good spirits despite the alarming nature of the situation, joking about the odd turn his day had taken. Robinson wrote:
“Great way to start the morning. 2:00am and got bit by a bat. That’s right a bat! 4 hours later in the ER and six shots. #animalattacks #hospital“
Fans flooded his comment section with messages of concern and well wishes, while many shared relief that he acted quickly to get treated. Rabies is a serious and potentially fatal condition if not addressed promptly, making Robinson’s quick response a critical step.
Charles Robinson, often affectionately referred to by fans as “Little Naitch” due to his resemblance to and association with Ric Flair, has been one of WWE’s most recognizable referees. While this bizarre encounter will certainly be a memorable chapter in his storied career, Robinson seems to be handling the situation with humor and professionalism.
