Ashante Thee Adonis Announces WWE Departure After Contract Expiration
It’s the end of an era for one of WWE’s most stylish and charismatic Superstars, as Ashante Thee Adonis has officially announced that he is parting ways with the company.
Earlier today, Ashante took to social media to share the news with fans that he would be parting ways with WWE after six years with the company. Fightful‘s Sean Ross Sapp later confirmed that his WWE contract had expired.
Adonis reflected on his time under the WWE lights with a heartfelt statement, expressing gratitude for every opportunity, lesson, and colleague he encountered during his tenure. You can read his statement regarding his WWE departure below.
“After 6 unforgettable years under the WWE lights, the time has come for me to close that chapter. I’m filled with nothing but gratitude for every opportunity, the experiences, lessons, and incredible talent I’ve had the chance to work with.
I’m truly excited to show the world what I can really do. Sometimes you gotta get off multiplayer and progress your story mode. I believe I’m the face of the future and the reason your girl stopped texting you back 😉
This is a brand new beginning. I am becoming the best version of myself. You have only seen a glimpse of my true potential, and I’m just scratching the surface. I know that to some this can be a dark time, but stars can’t shine without darkness.

Adonis, real name Tehuti Miles, signed with WWE in 2019 and went on to make a name for himself as part of the Hit Row faction alongside Top Dolla, B-Fab, and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (AEW’s Swerve Strickland). Known for his electric charisma, sharp mic skills, and standout style, Adonis brought a unique flavor to WWE programming, from NXT to SmackDown.
While his WWE chapter may be closing, Adonis made it clear that this is far from the end of his wrestling journey. His statement hinted at even bigger things to come, with his signature blend of confidence and charm suggesting that fans haven’t even seen the best of him yet.
Wherever Ashante Thee Adonis lands next, you can bet it’ll be must-see. And in true Thee Adonis fashion, he’s leaving on his own terms—style intact, charisma at maximum, and story mode fully unlocked.
