Hangman Adam Page Opens Up About Texas Death Match Against Jon Moxley at AEW All In

The road to ALL IN just got bloodier.

AEW All In is shaping up to be one of the most pivotal events in All Elite Wrestling history, and one of the most emotionally charged matchups on the card is set: “Hangman” Adam Page will challenge Jon Moxley in a Texas Death Match for the AEW World Championship. It’s a bout steeped in animosity, legacy, and raw, unfiltered violence—and for Hangman, it’s something even deeper.

Speaking with Haley Miller of Vice, Page opened up about what this match means to him on both a personal and professional level, shedding light on the symbolic weight the AEW World Title holds in his eyes.

“The stakes for this match — Jon Moxley has had the World Championship locked away in a briefcase for the better part of a year,” Page said. “And when AEW started, I made it my goal to win that championship. I mean, I was probably one of the first people to ever see what the championship would look like, and I made that my professional and personal goal to win that championship.”

Hangman Page, a cornerstone of AEW since its inception, isn’t just chasing gold. He’s pursuing a sense of duty—to himself, to his peers, and to the fans who have followed his journey from the early days of Being The Elite to the main event picture on national television.

“To me, that was a physical manifestation of what I felt all the wrestling was about,” Page continued. “It was about the best in-ring competition that any of us could offer. It was about the creativity that we all had, but it was also about the way we looked after and cared for one another, treated one another and that championship.”

The AEW World Title, according to Page, is more than just a belt. It represents AEW’s mission, its ethos, and the soul of the locker room. And to have it hidden away, locked in a briefcase by Moxley, is something he simply can’t stand for any longer.

“[The title] is a manifestation of all of those things, and to have that locked away inside of a briefcase–I feel it is not even my goal as much as someone who has benefited so much from professional wrestling and AEW–it is my responsibility to beat him and take that championship.”

Jon Moxley, the deathmatch veteran and chaos incarnate, isn’t going to make it easy. With his unrelenting style and appetite for destruction, Moxley has dominated as champion in his own unique way. But Hangman Page isn’t coming to All In just to fight.

He’s coming to reclaim the spirit of AEW.

AEW All In takes place Saturday, July 12th, live from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas and the Texas Death Match between Jon Moxley and Hangman Page promises to be one for the ages.
