An update has emerged regarding the status of WWE Superstar Otis, who has been noticeably absent from WWE television and internal listings as of late.
Earlier this week, WrestleVotes reported that Otis was not currently listed on WWE’s internal roster, raising questions about his availability. The report, which circulated Monday, noted: “I believe he’s out of action. Don’t know if it’s an injury or personal reasons, however we speak about this roster that shows up…Otis is currently not on the roster, which means they’re not available right now. For whatever reason, personal, injury, I don’t know, I don’t want to speculate. However, they’re not available for weekly TV at the moment.”
While speculation initially loomed over whether Otis was dealing with personal matters or an undisclosed issue, Fightful has now provided further clarification on the situation. According to their latest update, sources close to Otis have confirmed that he recently underwent arthroscopic elbow surgery. The procedure was reportedly exploratory in nature, aimed at identifying and addressing whatever was ailing him.
As of now, Otis is not expected to miss an extended period of in-ring action. However, as is often the case with medical procedures, the timeline is subject to change depending on recovery and rehabilitation progress.
Otis, a fan-favorite, has been a consistent presence on WWE programming over the recent years and his absence has been felt.
