Elayna Black Talks Potential AEW Future: “If the Call Comes, I’m Here”
Will Elayna be All Elite?
Since parting ways with WWE in early May, former NXT standout Cora Jade has re-emerged on the independent scene under her original ring name, Elayna Black—and she’s embracing the uncertainty of what comes next. While fans have been speculating heavily about where she might land next, Black is keeping a calm, grounded perspective—and that includes the possibility of joining All Elite Wrestling.
During her recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the 24-year-old opened up about her mindset post-WWE and addressed the possibility of signing with AEW. Though she’s not actively campaigning for a contract, she made it clear: the door is open.
“I’m open to whatever. I’m not in any rush to sign anywhere right now. I’m not like sitting here waiting for that. Because I feel like for the first time in my life, I’m trying to be present and just enjoy life now and what’s happening now.”
Known for her work ethic and passion for wrestling since the earliest days of her indie career, Black admitted that the breakneck pace of the industry often made it hard to slow down and appreciate the moment.
“This business is so go, go, go, go, go. It’s hard to sit and be present. So I feel like I’m trying to just enjoy where I’m at right now and not worry about that.”
Still, when asked about AEW specifically, Elayna didn’t hesitate to express her admiration—and her willingness to have a conversation if and when the time is right.
“But if the call came, I would definitely be open to talking and whatever. I’ve watched all the AEW shows since 2020, I never stopped watching them. Just couldn’t talk about it. I love AEW. I love wrestling. I want to continue to wrestle, wherever that is. If the call comes, hey, I’m here, but if it doesn’t for a few months or never, I don’t know. I’m not sitting here stressing about it, but I’m open to it.”
Elayna Black built her reputation on resilience, individuality, and a genuine passion for professional wrestling. Those qualities helped her make a lasting impression in WWE’s NXT, and they continue to resonate with fans now that she’s back on the independent circuit. With no shortage of potential landing spots—be it AEW, TNA, or a continued run on the indies—her next move remains one of the most intriguing questions in wrestling today.
One thing is clear: she’s ready for whatever comes next—but she’s not chasing it. She’s letting it find her.
