Booker T Weighs In on WWE-TNA Partnership and Potential Return: “TNA Right Now Is As Hot As It’s Been In Quite Some Time.”

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T isn’t shy when it comes to speaking his mind — especially when it comes to matters of respect, legacy, and the growth of professional wrestling.

In a recent interview with Spencer Love of Love Wrestling, the six-time world champion pulled no punches when talking about the recent WWE-TNA partnership, the rise of Trick Williams, and whether fans might see him step back into a TNA ring.

At the center of Booker’s commentary is one of NXT’s fastest rising stars: current TNA World Champion Trick Williams. For Booker, Williams’ title win is more than just a historic footnote — it’s a statement on TNA’s renewed value in the wrestling ecosystem.

“Just stuff like Trick Williams being the TNA World Champ,” Booker said. “For Trick Williams to have a world title under his belt at this stage of the game — and, the thing is, TNA did that for him. TNA gave him the rub. People may look at it like it’s vice-versa, but I’m giving it to you straight right now on where the rub is really coming from.”

For those paying attention, that’s not just a veteran giving a nod to a younger star — that’s Booker T tipping his hat to an organization he believes is finally reclaiming its identity.

“I’m loving seeing the rejuvenation of TNA,” he continued. “I always felt like TNA could be a really, really good company with some direction. This is the most direction TNA has had in quite some time, I must say. Not taking away anything that anybody else has ever done with TNA, but I think TNA right now is as hot as it’s been in quite some time.”

It’s a bold endorsement from someone who has seen every major promotion from the inside. And while fans have long speculated whether Booker T might entertain one final run in the Impact Zone — especially with the cross-promotional floodgates cracking open — the man himself made it clear: Black Snow won’t be coming out of hibernation.

“I might go over and call one of Trick Williams’ matches, but that’s going to be it!” Booker laughed. “You’re not going to see Black Snow back in the ring stalkin’ somebody! That’s not going to happen.”

That said, his respect for the company and what it could become is undeniable.

“I had a great time in TNA for my two years I was there. I really had a really great time,” he said, reflecting on his mid-2000s run in the company. “I just wish I could have done more for the young guys.”

As TNA continues to climb back into the broader wrestling conversation — with major crossover moments and emerging stars leading the way — Booker’s words feel less like nostalgia and more like a passing of the torch. And if the Knockouts Division can rise to its once-revolutionary heights, he believes TNA could become a serious force once again.

“If we can get the ladies division up like it was when it was the Knockouts division back in the day,” Booker said, “I think they’ll really be smoking.”

The wrestling world may still be wrapping its head around the WWE-TNA crossover, but if you ask Booker T? The future is looking bright — and for TNA, maybe even glorious.
