WWE Already Reserved Allegiant Stadium In Las Vegas For Two Days Next Year For WrestleMania 42
In a move that has sent shockwaves through both the wrestling industry and fans alike, WWE is reportedly pulling WrestleMania 42 out of New Orleans and instead returning to Las Vegas for the second year in a row.
And according to an update via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which reports that WWE has already reserved Allegiant Stadium for two days next year.
“Sources in Las Vegas have confirmed that WWE has reserved Allegiant Stadium for two days next year for WrestleMania 42,” the Observer states.
While WWE has yet to make an official announcement, the news virtually seals Las Vegas as the host city for the 2026 edition of The Showcase of the Immortals. This marks the first time in WrestleMania’s history that the event will be held in the same city two years in a row since WrestleMania IV & V which was held in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1988 and 1989.
New Orleans, a city that has twice played host to the Grandest Stage of Them All (WrestleMania 30 and 34), and was previously announced as the host city for WrestleMania 42 until new broke yesterday that WWE had pulled the show from the city and was moving it back to Las Vegas. Reports that followed suggested that a combination of logistical hurdles and the massive success of this year’s WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas contributed to the pivot.
Las Vegas has proven to be a lucrative market for WWE, delivering record-breaking ticket sales, international travel figures, and a city infrastructure uniquely equipped for high-profile events. Allegiant Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, has become a centerpiece for WWE’s premium live event strategy.
As WWE continues to position WrestleMania as not just a wrestling event but a global entertainment spectacle, Las Vegas offers a combination of glamour, accessibility, and revenue-generating potential that is hard to match.
