WWE Planning ‘SuperShow Mexico’ for This Summer; Cody Rhodes Expected to Headline
WWE is planning a major show from Mexico later this Summer.
According to a recent report from WrestleVotes Radio, WWE is planning to host a major live event titled “SuperShow Mexico” later this summer. The event is expected to serve as a significant international showcase for the company and could feature some of WWE’s biggest names.
One of those names that is expected to be there is none other than current top star Cody Rhodes, who is reportedly scheduled to return ahead of the event and is expected to be featured prominently on the card. WrestleVotes noted that Rhodes is slated to be the top Superstar on the card, solidifying his position as one of WWE’s premier talents.
While WWE has not officially announced the date or location of the event, sources suggest that the company aims to continue expanding its global footprint by returning to the passionate wrestling fanbase in Mexico with a high-profile card. This comes after WWE announced the purchase of AAA Lucha Libre, earlier this year, and WWE’s upcoming World’s Collide event from Los Angeles.
WWE’s focus on international expansion has been a consistent theme in recent years, with successful shows in the UK, Saudi Arabia, and other international markets. A major event in Mexico could further strengthen the company’s presence in Latin America, where there has also been a rumored future relationship with Puerto Rico’s WWC.
