WWE NXT Star Jordynne Grace Claps Back at Perennial, Pear-Shaped Douchebag, Brad Shepard

The relationship between professional wrestlers and wrestling media personalities is…a complicated one.

Some pro wrestlers have great relationships with the likes of Dave Meltzer, Sean Ross Sapp, Cam Hawkins, Nick Perkins (ahem), and others. There’s a mutual respect there, based on the fact that wrestlers put their lives on the line every single night and writers…uhm…write about it.

Men like Meltzer, Sapp, Wade Keller, Jason Powell and others have built up reputations — to varying degrees of success — and they have earned the respect of the wrestlers whom they cover.

And then…there are, ahem, men…like Brad Shepard.

Shepard and company, for the blissfully uninitiated, are the opposite of anything good, anything honest, anything fun about professional wrestling, or media in general. They have no credibility, no discernible talent and, certainly, no respect, in my opinion.

The reasons for that lack of respect are vast and varied, but they’re usually based on the fact that people like Shepard, or Bill Bhatti aren’t actually very good at their jobs, nor are they even semi-decent human beings. They have no desire to get better, either. They’d rather, in this writer’s opinion, build their reputations off of sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia and all of the other “phobias” that pretty much allow others to know right off the bat that they are simply not good people.

Brad Shepard, in particular, has been a scourge on the very idea of wrestling media, just by his self-professed affiliation with it. He makes the space worse and he’s an embarrassment to the craft.

But hey, don’t take our word for it. Former TNA Impact wrestler and current WWE NXT Superstar Jordynne Grace (as well as, like, so many other wrestlers) agree.

Take her most recent tweets, for example.

Grace, responding to another internet troll who called her “short af,” replied that said person still calls her mommy.

Shepard, seemingly taking this as an invitation to have a conversation, immediately went to one of the three subjects he’s an expert on – namely, sexism.

See, the thing about Brad Shepard is that he doesn’t get any interaction based on his skills, talent, knowledge, or even general opinions on pro wrestling. So he opts for hate speech because that’s what pays the bills. The thing is, Shepard isn’t even, like, mildly entertaining. He’s not funny. He’s not sharp. Shepard’s biggest sin, gelatinous goblin that he is, is that he’s just simply…boring. He’s boring.

So when he tries to interact with wrestlers, they’re forced to figure out ways to entertain themselves.

Hence Jordynne Grace’s response:

When another fan spoke up, and asked if Brad Shepard still…existed…Grace responded in the affirmative.

Grace is right. She is so right. She is so unbelievably right. Brad Shepard, and his ilk, are punchlines. They’re a joke. They’re the worst of the worst parts of pro wrestling media. But something funny happens on the way to the forums. A mutual hatred of Brad Shepard has actually bonded people. Friends have been made. Relationships have been developed. Conversations have been had, all simply due to the fact that nobody likes Brad Shepard.

Tonight was just the latest example of that. And chances are, Shepard will take this as an opportunity to say that he “got to” Jordynne Grace. Or that he’s “inside her head.” What Shepard knows, but won’t actually say out loud, is that it takes 10 seconds to demonstrate this dude’s small-dick energy. A quick tweet will send him back into his goblin hole until the next opportunity to be a racist douche presents itself. Shepard won’t do anything about it. He won’t fight anybody. He won’t even meet somebody face to face to hash out any problems he may have with them. He won’t stand on business. He won’t do a thing, because Brad Shepard is a coward. He is a weak, untalented, BORING coward. And he will continue to be the punchline of the internet every single time he fires off a tweet, and then goes back into hiding. He’s afraid of confrontation. He’s afraid of self reflection. He’s afraid to fight.

“Does Brad Shepard even know how to fight?” you may ask.

And I dunno. You tell me, bud.
