The 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber wasn’t a good night for Cody Rhodes.
Not only was Cody Rhodes on the receiving end of a kick to the balls and the victim of the infamous John Cena heel turn, but it now appears that he was legitimately injured during the segment.
According to a report via Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Cody Rhodes suffered a busted eardrum and a black eye at the Elimination Chamber PLE. The injury is believed to have occurred when Cody was stretched out and held down on the mat to be struck by Travis Scott.
“Cody got hurt…I’m pretty sure it was Travis Scott that did it…I heard he had a busted eardrum and a black eye.”
