AEW’s Fight Forever Video Game “Has One Over” On WWE 2K25 According To Game Developer, Says “We’re Going To Make It Right”
AEW got into the video game war with their Fight Forever release, which has for the most part not lived up to the hopes and expectations of many fans and gamers. However, one aspect of the AEW Fight Forever video game apparently “has one over” on WWE 2K25, according to one of the Game Developers.
So.. Which area of the game does AEW’s Fight Forever release beat WWE 2K25 and previous releases?
If you said “thumbtacks,” then you share the same feelings as WWE 2K Game Developer Bryan Williams, who recently joined The Pro Wrestling Shoot podcast, and talked about the upcoming WWE 2K25 video game.
During the interview, Williams revealed that WWE 2K developers don’t like that AEW “has one over” them with including thumbtacks in their video game, and said “We’re going to make it right.”
“The thumbtacks, we’ve been talking about that for a while now, and I think once we crack that nut, that’s the perfect opportunity to then go into, as you, as you pointed out, getting scarring, bleeding on the back, the chest, the arms, even. I think introducing that as a new weapon. Obviously, just like peanut butter and jelly, it coincides with bleeding on the bodies, as opposed to just the face.
“So, it is something that we are hoping to eventually get to sooner rather than later. So, yeah, I would just say, we hear you, and it’s something that we want to do as well, especially just having thumbtacks in the AEW game. I know I worked on it, but it, you know, it sticks in my craw that the AEW game has one over on us when it comes to the thumbtacks. I don’t like that. We’re going to make it right.”
