Billy Corgan Says NWA Just Signed A New TV Deal

The NWA is making strides in its resurgence under the leadership of owner Billy Corgan. Alongside the weekly episodes of NWA Powerrr, the organization is expanding its offerings with the new reality series ‘Adventures in Carnyland’ on The CW App, providing fans with a unique glimpse into Corgan’s life. Amidst these developments, Corgan has also revealed a new television deal and exciting plans for the upcoming ‘Back to the Territories’ event, signaling a dynamic future for the historic wrestling promotion.

In addition to the weekly episodes of NWA Powerrr, the National Wrestling Alliance is expanding its content on The CW App with the new reality series ‘Adventures in Carnyland.’ This series offers an inside look at the life of NWA owner Billy Corgan, providing fans with a deeper understanding of the man behind the revival of this historic wrestling promotion.

During his promotional tour for the show, Corgan spoke to TV Insider and revealed an exciting development for the NWA. He announced, “I just signed another TV deal, which I haven’t announced yet. I saw someone in wrestling media wave off the NWA’s success, but I don’t know a lot of companies out there that have three television deals as an independent solely funded by me. We’re really fighting a lot of wars here, not only to create a wrestling product that fans will like but also to beat the world’s perception that it can’t be done. That unless you have a billion dollars in your pocket, you can’t manifest enough energy. But what people don’t understand is I’m one of the only people in the world who understands how to take something literally from nothing and take it to the top of the mountain multiple times. I know it can be done with faith, dedication, and hard work. It will be interesting to see the behind-the-scenes stuff going on, which by the way is not work, but true and honest stuff that is happening. I insisted on real and organic storylines. It will be interesting to see if people perceive that as integrity or weakness on the part of the company. I think it’s a strength because we have nothing to hide.”

This announcement underscores the NWA’s growth and resilience under Corgan’s leadership. Despite the skepticism from some in the wrestling media, Corgan is committed to proving that the NWA can thrive independently.

Looking ahead, the NWA is gearing up for its ‘Back to the Territories’ event in Knoxville, Tennessee, set for June. This event will be significant as it marks the crowning of the first NWA Mid-America Champion since 1987. This move is part of Corgan’s broader strategy to honor the rich history of professional wrestling while building a modern, compelling product for today’s fans.

As the NWA continues to evolve and expand its reach, the combination of new content like ‘Adventures in Carnyland’ and strategic events like ‘Back to the Territories’ highlights the organization’s commitment to innovation and tradition. With Corgan at the helm, the NWA is poised to continue its journey back to prominence in the wrestling world.
