Live Coverage

The show begins and our commentary team of Michael Cole and Wade Barrett welcome us to tonight’s show.

Cody Rhodes makes his way down to the ring and ‘The American Nightmare’ asks the WWE Universe in North Little Rock, Arkansas what they’d like to talk about.

Former WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre’s music hits and out comes ’The Scottish Psychopath.’ McIntyre says he’s proud of Cody and calls back to them winning the Tag Titles together a number of years ago. McIntyre recalls Cody telling him that he’d be a World Champion when they were both on the indies in the past and admits that it meant a lot to him.

McIntyre tells Cody that he’ll finish his story one day…but not before he finishes his. Cody says they’ve both entered into the Men’s Royal Rumble Match and notes that they‘re both former winners of the annual match. Cody says unlike McIntyre, he’s proud of his career thus far and says he’ll give McIntyre something else to complain about…and asks McIntyre who won that match on the indies. Cody laughs before making his way exit.

Backstage, we see R-Truth and Damian Priest. R-Truth hands Priest one of his custom made shirts that has his face on it alongside the rest of ’The Judgment Day.’ Priest says as long as Truth doesn’t get in his way, he can continue selling whatever he wants. Priest also asks Truth to not tag himself in during their tag team match, later tonight, before walking out.

Intercontinental Champion, GUNTHER, alongside Ludwig Kaiser make their way down to the ring. GUNTHER says with the Royal Rumble right around the corner, he can feel the desperation building in the locker room. The Intercontinental Champion reminds everyone that he lasted from the beginning right up until the end in last year’s men’s rumble and with that, he’s officially declaring for the Men’s Royal Rumble Match.

The New Day’s music hits and out comes the returning Xavier Woods. The former King of The Ring winner says he and Kaiser have a problem after what Kaiser did to Kofi Kingston, last week…and it looks like we have ourselves and impromptu match!

Ludwig Kaiser (with GUNTHER) def. Xavier Woods via Disqualification

Xavier Woods exacted revenge on Ludwig Kaiser after attacking him with a steel chair to cause the disqualification.

After the match, Kaiser attacks Woods backstage but Jey Uso rushes in and chases off Kaiser.

Akira Tozawa (with Maxxine Dupri) def. Ivar (Valhalla)

After the match, Valhalla and Ivar attack Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa and stand tall over the faces as the segment comes to a close.

WWE Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley makes her way down to the ring. Rhea says she’s done with people like Nia Jax claiming that she runs the women’s division when she’s the one holding the gold. Rhea says before the Women’s Royal Rumble Match even happens, the winner of the match has officially been put on notice.

Becky Lynch’s music hits and out comes ‘The Man!’ Becky says she and Rhea have taken similar paths to get to the top of the mountain…but only one of them has won a WrestleMania main event. Becky admits that it may be Rhea’s time but she still needs to prove that, and she plans on taking the Women’s World Title from Rhea at WrestleMania 40, after she wins the women’s rumble. Rhea tells Becky that she wants Becky to win the rumble more than Becky does herself, that way she can get her moment by beating her at WrestleMania 40.
