TNA Hard To Kill Preview & Predictions

Countdown To Hard To Kill

-Steve Maclin vs Rich Swann

As the first match people will see as part of the new TNA, I expect this to be a great match from both competitors. Two former World Champions battling it out and beating the shit out of each other. Not really any build, but two guys who can GO in the ring together.

Prediction: Maclin wins

-Eddie Edwards (w/Alisha) & Brian Myers vs Eric Young & Frankie Kazarian

Four TNA originals going at it for the TNA rebrand; what more could you ask for? Amazing talent in this match, and it should be a great one. I really enjoy the pairing of Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers as “bad guys”, and Alisha will add her own finesse to the pairing.

Prediction: Edwards & Myers via some kind of Alisha interference.

TNA Digital Media Title
-Tommy Dreamer (c) vs Crazzy Steve

Tommy Dreamer and Steve have built this up for a bit and then it kind of died down with the inactivity of the company, but it’s been picked back up recently over the past week. In the year of our Lord 2024, Tommy Dreamer does not belong with a title of any kind.

Prediction: Crazzy Steve takes the title off of Dreamer (finally) with some crazy (no pun intended) antics.

Main Card

-Dirty Dango (w/Alpha Bravo & Oleg Prudius) vs PCO

I have thoroughly enjoyed the addition of Bravo (formerly John E, now Alpha) and Oleg Prudius (formerly Vladimir Kozlov) to Dangos new character. PCO is going to show out because…well it’s PCO. Surprised this match made the main PLE show and not a countdown, but there could be a reason behind it.

Prediction: nobody wins and the match gets wrecked by some new group or somebody (Jake Something) who has something to prove.

TNA X Division Title Match
-Chris Sabin (c) vs Kushida vs El Hijo Del Vikingo

Looking forward to this match very much. Three top names in the professional wrestling scene that can be high flyers and technical masters at the same time. Any match type/pace that’s needed or wanted, these guys can adjust. I’m expecting some truly insane spots and a fantastic match overall.

Prediction: New Champ – Vikingo wins. TNA has great partners and I see no reason why they wouldn’t let one of their talent take a title for awhile knowing he’ll have to come back and defend it on TNA TV/LIVE show. He can take the title back to Mexico, to ROH/AEW when he’s booked there; everywhere he goes he can showcase it.

Knockouts Ultimate X Match
-Gisele Shaw vs Xia Brookside vs Jody Threat vs Alisha Edwards vs Tasha Steelz vs Dani Luna

The names don’t make it sound like it’s going to be a great match, it’ll be good, but I think people are going to be surprised. Xia Brookside can do some really cool high flying spots, Gisele and Tasha will be very good, Jody is a brawler who will show out, Alisha will do some decent stuff, and Dani Luna will probably take them all out in the end.

Prediction: Gisele Shaw. She’s one of the top Knockouts that the company can really get behind this year.

-Josh Alexander vs Alex Hammerstone

This could and probably will be the Match Of The Night. Holy shit. Alot of us talked about this but to see it actually be booked was pretty amazing. These guys will tear the house down, build it back up, and tear it down AGAIN.

Prediction: Josh wins. Hammerstone either beats him down after and we find out he’s signed, or TNA President Scott D’Amore makes his way out with a contract and Hammerstone signs it on the back of Josh Alexander.

TNA Tag Team Tiles
-ABC (c) vs The Rascalz vs Speedball Mike Bailey/Trent Seven vs GYV

This match probably has the best build of all the matches AND has the potential to be the Match Of The Night as well. Four tag teams all looking to prove something in this new era of TNA.

ABC beat The Rascalz for the Tag Team Titles at Bound For Glory, The Rascalz demanded their rematch at Final Resolution, but lost to the team of Mike Bailey and Trent Seven. Santino Marella granted The Rascalz their rematch at Hard To Kill, but also inserted Bailey ajd Seven into the match after their victory over The Rascalz. Grizzled Young Veterans are one of the hottest tag teams around, so they wanted to take their shot at the TNA Tag Team Titles.

Prediction: New Champs – Grizzled Young Veterans take this and being the TNA Tag Team Titles all over the place to every spot they’re currently booked, defending the titles along way.

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles
-MK Ultra (c) vs TBD

This one match has been speculated on all week long, if not longer. MK Ultra are being presented their new TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles tomorrow prior to Hard To Kill, but their opponents have yet to be revealed.

Prediction: MK Ultra retain. This pairing of Killer Kelly & Masha Slamovich has been a home run for the Knockouts tag team division (or what’s left of it).

TNA Knockouts World Title
-Trinity (c) vs Jordynne Grace

Trinity has gone undefeated during her run in IMPACT, and Grace is hungry for a fight. This will be a very good match.

Prediction: New Champ – Grace wins. Trinity is rumored to be returning to WWE and appearing in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, but she seems more then willing to do good business and put Grace over on her way out of the company.

TNA World Title
-Alex Shelley (c) vs Moose

Shelley is one of the best overall technicians anywhere in professional wrestling. Moose is a big guy who can hit hard and also do Spanish Cobras off the top rope.

This will be a great match. Not much build other then Moose winning a World Title shot via Feast or Fired briefcase and then calling his shot for Hard To Kill.

Prediction: New champ – Moose wins.

-The LIVE debut of the “We Outside” Music Video featuring DJ Whoo Kid & AJ Francis (formerly Top Dolla)

Prediction: Francis gets involved in this event somehow, but I haven’t figured out what that role is yet.

Scott D’Amore’s “big signing”: Nic Nemeth (formerly Dolph Ziggler) makes his way out after the Main Event World Title match and attacks Moose, holding up the World Title belt at the show goes off the air.
