Live Coverage

The show begins and our commentary team of Michael Cole and Wade Barrett welcome us to tonight’s show.

Former WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre makes his way down to the ring. Before McIntyre can say much, CM Punk’s music hits to a MASSIVE pop! Punk says nobody’s here to listen to McIntyre talk about whatever he was going to talk about. McIntyre says he and some of the people in the back have a betting pool on how long it’s going to take for Punk to self-destruct himself out of the company. McIntyre says he knows the real CM Punk and he could go on for days about how many things he’s done to get in the way of people’s success but they only have three years. McIntyre says when he first started in WWE he struggled and could’ve used a leader but Punk was scared of his potential and never helped him.

McIntyre says once he was fired, he left and figured everything out but now he’s comeback as a leader and nine years later as Punk returns…he’s the leader now. Punk says McIntyre could never be a leader but if he wants Punk to lead him, he can shave his head and bring back the Straight Edge Society. Punk says he’s all for the talking but if he’s pushed far enough, he’s satan himself…

Kofi Kingston vs. Ludwig Kaiser Ends in a Double Countout

Nia Jax heads down to the ring for an interview with Michael Cole. The longtime voice of the WWE says Nia shocked the world, last week when she defeated Becky Lynch. Nia says it wasn’t shocking at all and says she’s on a different level than she was before she left the company. Nia says Becky is in the rearview mirror and she’s fully focused on the Women’s Royal Rumble match and targeting both Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. WWE Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley interrupts and says Nia shouldn’t forget about her eliminating her from last year’s rumble match and while beating Becky was impressive, she better keep her (Rhea’s) name out of her mouth. Jax says Rhea is the most dominant women’s champion in WWE but she took her out when she returned and she’ll do it again *when* she wins the rumble match.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins makes his way down to the ring. Rollins says we’re almost at the Royal Rumble, which means the road to WrestleMania 40 is upon us. Rollins says he took a title that never existed and took it to heights that have now made it the most important title in all of WWE. Jinder Mahal’s music hits and out comes ‘The Modern Day Maharaja.’ Jinder says he’s been more of a revolutionary in the last week than Rollins has in his entire career. Jinder reminds Rollins that he beat Randy Orton to become World Champion and he’s not to be overlooked.

Rollins agrees that Jinder has been overlooked for most of his career and says that he appreciates Jinder for showing up despite being embarrassed by The Rock, last week. Jinder attacks Rollins and the brawl is on! Rollins lines Jinder up for a curb stomp but Jinder rolls out of the ring just in time.
