Authors of Pain, Paul Ellering Make Return During 1/5 WWE SmackDown, Align with Karrion Kross

Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering are back in WWE.

During the 1/5 edition of WWE SmackDown: New Years Revolution, former RAW Tag Team Champions, Akar and Rezar of the ‘Authors of Pain,’ alongside Paul Ellering made their return to the company.

Bobby Lashley, Montez Ford, and Angelo Dawkins were in the ring running down their plans for 2024 until Karrion Kross’ music hit. Out came Kross, alongside Scarlett before Paul Ellering appeared next to them, but back in the ring, Akar and Rezar rushed Lashley and the Street Profits, making a statement upon their return to WWE.

The newly formed faction stood atop the entrance ramp, enjoying the chaos that they just caused before disappearing into the darkness.

AOP haven’t appeared on WWE programming since March 2020, where the pair were aligned with Seth Rollins and Buddy Matthews (FKA Buddy Murphy).

It was widely rumored that AOP re-signed with WWE in the latter half of 2023 but were kept off TV until the time was right.
