Nic Nemeth (Formerly Dolph Ziggler In WWE) Appears At NJPW WrestleKingdom, Wants To Go After IWGP Global Title
Nic Nemeth surprised us all when he appeared at WrestleKingdom 18 this morning with his brother Ryan and sat ringside for the rest of the event.
Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.Net exclusively reported that Nemeth was kept very well hidden backstage and most had no idea he was even there until they saw him on camera.
David Finlay battled and came out victorious over Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay for the brand new IWGP Global Title, essentially replacing the IWGP US/UK Title. After Finlay’s match was over, Finlay exchanged words with Nic at ringside before it got physical and both men battled until they were pulled apart.
Nic shows up at the post-show press conference and attacks champion David Finlay. Nemeth battles Finlay to the back and then grabs the title and holds it up, saying it’s his take the title to the top where it really belongs.
As of now, nothing has been made official between the two sides, however, New Japan Pro Wrestling is holding a New Years Bash event tonight where we could get something official. NJPW is holding a live PPV event in San Jose, California next Saturday January 13th for their Battle In The Valley event.
There has also been speculation in the wrestling community that Nemeth could “one of the biggest signings in TNA” that Scott D’Amore hyped for the company’s TNA reboot, however, TNA is holding their PPV on the same night as the Battle In The Valley event.
