Pro Wrestling NOAH’s biggest show of the year NOAH “THE NEW YEAR” 2024 is set for the Ariake Arena in Tokyo on January 2nd.
The main event of the show will see a dream match become reality as Naomichi Marufuji will go one on one with AEW star Kota Ibushi. The two were scheduled to meet in the past twice but each match was cancelled due to injuries. They will finally square off on January 2nd.
The GHC Heavyweight Championship will be on the line as the current champion Kenoh will defend his title against Manabu Soya in what should be a spectacular match.
Daga will make his second defense of the GHC Jr Heavyweight Championship as he faces the challenge of Eita.
In a NOAH & NJPW vs HOUSE OF TORTURE 6 vs. 6 Elimination Match it will be the team of Kaito Kiyomiya, Shota Umino, Ryohei Oiwa, Shuji Kondo, Daiki Inaba & Junta Miyawaki taking on the entire NJPW House of Torture faction of Evil, Ren Narita, Yujiro Takahashi, SHO, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Dick Togo.
There will be two high profile NOAH vs NJPW singles match ups set for the event.
NOAH’s Go Shiozaki will face NJPW’s Satoshi Kojima. Go Shiozaki has never defeated Kojima in a singles match.
The other NOAH vs NJPW singles match will see NOAH’s Masa Kitamiya take on NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii.
Also featured on the card in various matches will be Jake Lee, Jack Morris, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Takashi Sugiura, Zack Sabre Jr and HAYATA.
