Earlier today, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella released a video via the IMPACT Wrestling social media Twitter announcing the Tag Team Title match for Hard To Kill.
The match is made official:
This is a match that most fans have been waiting for. The ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) defeated The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) at the Bound For Glory PPV to become two-time IMPACT Wrestling and the very last Tag Team champions in IMPACT history as the company prepares for a rebrand to TNA Wrestling and with that, new title belts. It was revealed last week that Trey and Wentz have recently re-signed new contracts with the company.
At the last IMPACT Wrestling live event – Final Resolution – The Rascalz demanded their Tag Team Title rematch from Santino, which he granted, but they would have to wrestl the team of the newly-signed Trent Seven & “Speedball” Mike Bailey that night. Bailey and Seven won the match, seemingly earning their way into a tag team title match.
Last Monday, Zack Gibson & James Drake – the Grizzled Young Veterans – released a video revealing that they’ll be coming to TNA to compete at the Hard To Kill PPV and plan to come after the Tag Team Titles. The pair will also be part of the Snake Eyes TV taping as well.
Will ABC be able to fend off all challengers, or will we see new champions in this brand new era of TNA Wrestling? We’ll have to be there LIVE or tune in to find out.
