Former Pro Wrestling NOAH Prospect Yasutaka Yano Claims Indecent Assault Charges Against Him Have Been Dropped

As reported here on Bodyslam.net, Pro Wrestling NOAH prospects Kinya Okada & Yasutaka Yano were arrested on October 20th on suspicion of indecent assault charges on a woman in her 20’s. The alleged assault took place on April 16th in the early morning as Pro Wrestling NOAH was in Sendai for an event. Yano and Okada were removed from that event and later released from their contracts.

On December 15th, Yasutaka Yano issued a statement on X and has claimed that the charges against him have been dismissed. Yano indicated that he made an apology which was accepted that led to the charges being dropped against him. Yano said that even though the charges were dropped, it doesn’t erase what he had done.

I am truly sorry for any inconvenience caused by my case. I will not go into details because of the privacy of the other party, but I would like to inform you that my apology was accepted and that the charges have been dropped.

Even though the charges were dropped, it does not erase what I have done, and I am deeply sorry not only for hurting the other party, but also for the worry and trouble I have caused to the company, all wrestling fans, and my family. I will not forget what I have done and the trouble I have caused you all, and I pledge to live my life diligently and earnestly so that this will never happen again. I would like to ask for your continued warm and strict guidance and encouragement.

There have been no updates for Kinya Okada relating to the charges.

Yasutaka Yano and Kinya Okada once had very promising futures ahead of them in the world of professional wrestling but the promising future for each of them is now gone.
