According to a report by Jason Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, New Japan Pro-Wrestling superstar Kazuchika Okada is set a become a free agent at the end of January 2024.

Okadas’s contract with NJPW is reportedly set to expire at the end of January. It has also been reported that Okada may be willing to entertain offers from other promotions who may be interested in bringing him into their company.

If Kazuchika Okada decides to leave NJPW, the frontrunners to sign him would be the WWE or AEW. AEW could be the better option of the two as he will most likely be able to continue to have matches for NJPW through the NJPW/AEW working relationship.

Kazuchika Okada has been a member of the NJPW roster since 2008. He has held the IWGP Heavyweight Title five times and the IWGP World Heavyweight Title on two separate occasions.

While the odds are that he will remain with NJPW, one thing is certain – Kazuchika Okada is heading towards receiving a massive payday at the end of January 2024.
