MAO Defeats Matt Cardona At DDT Pro-Wrestling’s Ulitmate Party 2023, Wins DDT Universal Title

A new DDT Universal Champion has been crowned.

On November 12th, DDT Pro-Wrestling held it’s Ultimate Party 2023 event at Ryogoku Kokugikan. On the card, Matt Cardona, who was accompanied by Steph De Lander, defended his DDT Universal Title for the second time as he faced the challenge of MAO.

Despite Steph De Lander interfering numerous times, MAO was able to over the odds stacked against him and defeated Mat Cardona to win the DDT Universal Title. MAO used Cardona’s own Radio Silence finisher off the top turnbuckle and through three plastic containers to secure the victory.

At one point during the match, the ref was knocked out after a bump and Yoshihiko the wrestling doll took over as referee for a few minutes until Steph De Lander “took out Yoshihiko” and the official referee returned.

This is MAO’s second reign as the DDT Universal Champion. Matt Cardona had held the title since July 23, 2023.
