Eddie Kingston Blames Himself For Fans Wanting To Talk About His Backstage Issues

Eddie Kingston speaks on backstage issues in wrestling.

The Ring Of Honor World Champion has had his fair share of issues in the past with other talent, but for the most part, Kingston has kept it professional. That being said, Kingston has been involved in a backstage incident in the past, getting into an altercation with Sammy Guevara previously backstage at an AEW show.

Speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Eddie talked about backstage issues, pointing out that if fans are talking about his backstage issues, then he’s not doing his job correctly.

“Nah. It doesn’t bother me because I don’t care. I have a job to do. My job is to make the people talk about us. If I didn’t do a good enough job to where they want to talk about backstage stuff, that’s on me. I’ll just do better next time. There was no locker room divide (with CM Punk), like it was reported, because I don’t really hang out with a lot of people. I have four or five people I chill with in the locker room and those four or five people didn’t give a shit what was going on. We were in our own world because we had to go to work, and that’s it. People are going to talk about the drama because people love drama. That’s why we have those kind of movies and all that. They love it. It’s our job to go out there and produce, to make them forget. I think we are. If people still want to talk about it, that’s on them, not on me,”

Eddie Kingston

Kingston is currently in the midst of a feud with Jay Lethal for the Ring Of Honor World Title on AEW television.

We will have to wait and see if Kingston will be able to keep fans from talking about his backstage issues in the future.
