Will Ospreay Talks His Own Mental Health Struggles, Offers Advice To Those Dealing With Depression: “Keep Moving Forward.”

Lee South Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay Toronto, ON AEW Forbidden Door June 25, 2023

Will Ospreay discusses his mental health struggles and offers advice to those who are struggling.

Ospreay is at present, one of the top in ring performers in the world of professional wrestling as at just 32 years old, he has held a litany of championships in New Japan Pro Wrestling and around the world. He has been also brought more into the public eye over the course of the last few years, as he has worked some of AEW’s biggest events, including AEW All In.

While his thrust into the public eye is new, the discourse on Will’s style in the ring is not. For a long time, a section of fans have criticized Ospreay for his agile moveset.

While speaking to Metro discussed his own mental health struggles, offering some advice to those dealing with depression and anxiety.

“I used to be such in such a horrible, dark place where me and my head just didn’t get along. Sometimes it creeps in, especially big matches.”

“You gotta keep moving forward. If you don’t, you’re just gonna sit in that pit of sadness, and that’s when it creeps in. Go out, keep walking, keep doing what you’re doing. The moment you sit still, that’s when you’re done.”

Ospreay is scheduled to face off with Zack Sabre Jr at NJPW Royal Quest to find out who the best British Wrestler is.
