We now know more information on AEW booking Mistico.
Yesterday, Tony Khan announced that Mistico would make his AEW debut on the October 20th edition if AEW Rampage when he faces off with Rocky Romero in singles action.
With this booking, many fans wondered what this means for AEW’s relationship with AAA, but it seems that AEW at least is under the impression that they can book talent from both AAA and CMLL per the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
From an AEW side, them booking CMLL’s Mistico does not affect the relationship with AAA. AEW are working with the impression they can book talent from both groups as long as the talent isn’t in the ring together.

We will have to wait and see how AAA responds and if they will be ok with this decision from AEW.
