Yuya Uemura Vows To Win The IWGP World Heavyweight Championship And Become The Best Wrestler In The World

New Japan Pro-Wrestling welcomed back it’s young star Yuya Uemura from excursion at Destruction in Ryogoku on October 9th. Uemura was revealed to be the newest member of Just 5 Guys.

Yuya Uemura teamed with fellow Just 5 Guys faction members Douki and Taichi as they defeated Yoshinobu Kanemaru, SHO and Yujiro Takahashi at Destruction In Ryogoku. Uemura pinned Takahashi to win the match for his team. This was the first match in Japan since 2021 for Yuya Uemura.

Backstage after the match, Uemura commented on his goal to become IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and the best wrestler in the world:

Thank you, I went to the United States for about two years, played matches, lived my life, and now I’m back in New Japan Pro Wrestling. My name is Yuya Uemura. The only thing I want to say is that I will wear the IWGP World Heavyweight belt and become the best wrestler in the world. That’s all from me.
