Adam Copeland Looking To Fill The Gap Left By CM Punk In AEW

Adam Copeland is looking to fill the gap left by CM Punk in AEW.

Just over a month after CM Punk was fired with cause from AEW, Adam Copeland made his explosive debut for the promotion at AEW WrestleDream, coming to the aid of Darby Allin and Sting to close out the show.

After the show, Copeland would speak at length about his plans in the promotion, with him confirming he would be around full time with the promotion. Fightful Select reports that one longtime AEW roster member says Copeland is looking to fill the gap left by CM Punk.

In addition to being around full-time in AEW, we’re told that Copeland will have a significant presence within the company and has expressed his willingness to help in a variety of capacities. One longtime AEW talent said that Copeland spoke about Copeland filling the gap that CM Punk left behind in that he’ll be helpful and not cause any issues internally. That person did reiterate that Punk himself had been helpful to many within the company as well.
