Despite being sidelined with an injury, Mercedes Mone made sure to attend the biggest pro wrestling show in the last decade.
On May 21st, Mone sustained an injury in a match against Willow Nightingale at NJPW Resurgence and has been out of action since, however in the year she had, Mone won the IWGP Women’s Championship from Kairi Sane. In her first title defense at Sakura Genesis on April 8, Monรฉ defeated AZM and Hazuki in a three-way match before losing the title to Mayu Iwatani at the Stardom All-Star Grand Queendom.
There is no word yet if she will be making an in-ring appearance, however this could lead to something special happening between Mone and AEW.
