Becky Lynch Thinks Trish Stratus Is “Insecure” And Worrying About Time Passing Her By

On Monday Night RAW a few weeks back , Becky and Trish began to have their rematch but Zoey Stark would interfere, causing a DQ.

Later in the show, it was revealed the match would happen again, this time in Winnipeg on RAW in a couple of weeks.

The two would again have a non-finish, with the match ending in a double count out. WWE GM Adam Pearce would then confirm that the pair will face off one more time inside a Steel Cage match at Payback.

In an interview with Jackie Redmond on WWE’s The Bump, Lynch was asked about the motive for Stratus’ betrayal, noting that she believes she is jealous.

“I think it’s just an insecurity. I think, when it comes to Trish Stratus, she’s so scared that time is passing her by. You look at the business and you look at the women’s division and how everybody’s progressing, everybody’s getting better, everybody’s tightening their game. She’s left in history. WWE for years, for decades, we’ve said that Trish Stratus is the greatest female wrestler that we’ve ever had. Now, obviously, it’s being proven that that’s not true. You have the Becky Lynchs, and I could just stop there, but you have the other people that can compete for that title. I think that’s her biggest problem, is she doesn’t want to be forgotten by history, and she doesn’t want to be left behind,”

We will have to wait and see if Lynch can end her rivalry with Stratus at Payback.
